They will find a way to get that money that doesn't hit the news media.

I think it's hilarious how B of A totally slimed itself. How could they make their $5/month announcement and *not* have anticipated the reaction? Either it was incredible stupidity on Moynihan's part, or it was HORRIBLE market research, or just plain hubris.So all the other banks saw that it was a HUGE public relations blunder, and backed off.

What else could they do? But don't think this is URL2 may sit dormant for a couple of months, but you can be sure there will be some new fee from the banks.

Credit Unions never did. The new law still allows a large fee for a quick electronic transaction that cost only a few cents (if that much) to do. This will encourage some innovations to cut cost.

I think that it is a very good idea that banks should not charge people using their debit card for purchases. There are some people who is very uncomfortable carrying a lot of cash & their checkbooks. What if that person lose his/her checkbook?

There goes the person identity. When we go out, we don't know how much we are going to spend(if we spend at all). However, banks will find a way to work around the fee.

They have to find a way to make money.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
