Now that banks are going to charge fees for debit card purchases will you switch to a credit union?

I switched to a credit union a few years ago. I quickly found that I received better rates and better customer service and I have not looked back since!

If my bank starts charging for debit card use, I will switch. Whether it's to a bank that doesn't charge or to a credit union will depend on a few other factors, but I'm not going to pay for the automatic electronic transfer of my own money. Heck, they never charged me extra for checks aside from the check itself, and those DO take some human processing time.In the last town I lived, I banked at a credit union that I really liked, with interest rates on savings that were double that of what the banks were paying...and stayed steady even after bank interest rates completely tanked.

I already belong to a credit union. And being a struggling college grad I love how if I ever overdraft the fee is only $6. This is because I have my checking account protected by my savings.

And I can use atm's all over without fees. Places like Cumberland Farms and other Co-op banks.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
