TMJ is basically jaw problems - clicking, stiffening, tightening, etc. Can cause major migraines. Asked by t0mb0ygirlygurl 4 months ago Health > Dental.
I did not know anyone personally, but I used to work in a dentist office so I had seen folks with it. How are you Tomboygirl?
I've had TMJ for a long time and yesterday at work, came across an ehow page of how to cure TMJ with jaw exercises. I can't believe they worked - my jaw isn't clicking but at the moment I can't open it very wide so I'm squishing food and taking smaller bites, but I can't believe that I'm not popping my jaw out to talk! So needless to say, I'm doing pretty good LOL.
How about you, Miss MorningDew? (LOL that rhymed) t0mb0ygirlygurl 4 months ago .
That is wonderful news Tomboygirl! Keep doing the exercises if they are helping you. Yes, it sure did rhyme, lol!
I am doing fine this Friday morning and I am glad you are as well. Have a wonderful holiday weekend! .
Yes, and your dentist can make you a device to wear at night and as much as possible during the day that will help with it. When mine is severe I wear it a lot - then it goes away and I can do without it completely, although I'm supposed to wear it at night! ;-p .
I had gotten a mouth guard from the store at least a year ago and at the time, when I woke up and couldn't open my mouth very far I thought something was wrong and it didn't work. Now that I did these exercises and basically have the same results, I realize the mouth guard was actually doing good. Follow BosM's link and try those exercises, they're pretty awesome.

That is great if those are working for you! My case was pretty advanced, and exercises, drugs, etc. , didn't work. The NTI device and later a custom made splint have done the trick.
Good luck to you - whatever works, because, believe me, I know what a pain it is! .
Yes, my grandmother had it and I think my mother has it too. Very painful.
Good morning to you Ms. MorningDew! T0mb0ygirlygurl, is that link below to the eHow Health page on TMJ exercises?Html.
Yes! That's exactly the page! I couldn't believe the results, even though (like I said) I can't open my mouth very far.
But I'm pretty sure it'll stretch out more over time if I keep doing the exercises. T0mb0ygirlygurl 4 months ago .
I do. It sucks. Especially recently.
Lots of jaw and facial pain, and headaches every day, despite meds and night guard. Kat .
I understand completely! We clench our jaws while sleeping, and my fiance has woken me up because I woke him up popping my jaw. For a while, I've been carrying Excedrin Migraine because that's the only thing that would take care of the TMJ migraines.
Follow BosM's link and try those exercises. I am currently talking and eating with no popping jaw, although I can't open it very far. I did notice when I eat, my jaw is actually just going straight up and down, instead of popping out like it always has.

Yes. I asked about this a while back and got some good responses. Search askville for:"What is the best treatment for TMJ?" .
Well I was mainly trying to convey that I found TMJ exercises that have aligned my jaw. I definitely appreciate your input. The link provided by BosM was the exact site I found and I am highly recommending anyone with TMJ to do those exercises.
I am now talking and eating without popping my jaw, although I can't open my mouth very far. T0mb0ygirlygurl 4 months ago .
The Milwaukee Journal (TMJ) is delivered to a few hundred thousand subscribers every day.
Oh LOL, I was talking about jaw problems, as described in my details. T0mb0ygirlygurl 4 months ago .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
