HELP! ebay seller shipped my book to the wrong address!?

A few years ago I argued a point with eBay and lost so I don't know if they ever back the buyer. You said "he did not see the apartment number on the shipping label eBay sent to him". That makes me wonder if eBay somehow had to RETYPE the label rather than just to cut and paste your address onto that product.

If it was clearly eBay's fault then they should assist, however I don't expect they will so you could well be right in that neither of you are at fault. Your postman should have checked the address then if it was undeliverable (something the postal service used to do with a smile) but the postal service is going under and will go under if they don't have additional funds from the government by October so I don't think they will even respond to any finger pointing at them. I don't know if there is a cost to the postal service for returning it as undeliverable or not, I think there is so the postal service took the hit.

Somewhere along the line somebody's insurance should kick in to cover the loss. I'd assume it's that of the seller but the seller might be too small to pay that, so here's what I'd do if I were in your situation. Ask the seller to re-ship it and for them to take the loss because they chose eBay to deal with who you think made the mistake.

And if the product was not expensive or you could buy it new on one of the cut-cost websites on the net or better yet if you could buy it at Walmart or an electronic store near you then back out of the deal. You'd need to request your money back or stop payment on your check (which would be costly). The seller can't keep your money unless they send you something in return, so eventually they might wake up and send you the product and bill you for the balance, which you, of course would not pay.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
