HELP! I am trying to reach my "Temporary Internet Files" folder but it seems unreachable. I have window vista now?

HELP! I am trying to reach my "Temporary Internet Files" folder but it seems unreachable. I have window vista now... On my old computer (Window xp) I could reach the temporaly internet files easily and get pictures and stuff I couldn't get another way, like photos from web sites in which right click was not allow..To locate the folder I open a photo someone send me to my email and instead of saving it I just opened it.

I open the properties of the photo and got this:C:\Users\tammy\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low\Content. IE5\SNL3TR47I open C:, it was ok, then Users, but I didn't have any AppData folder. I try to show all the folders in casethere were hidden folders in there but window vista doen't make that easier either, on window xp I remember I had an option that says "show all the folders" or something like that.

Ok, I finally found the AppData folder going to start and in "start search" but as I reached Window folder that is supposed to be the last step to reach Temporary internet files but still it was not there. I don't know how to find this folder. Asked by GoldPainter 38 months ago Similar questions: HELP reach Temporary Internet Files folder unreachable window vista Computers > Software.

Set up your computer more like XP, and use Advanced search. Start by going to Start, Computer. Go to Tools, Folder Options.

Under the General tab, select Use Windows classic folders Under the View tab, select the radio button to Show hidden files and folders Select OK. This will make the options active for all folders on your computer. You should now be able to find any hidden files and folders on your computer.

I also prefer the option to de extensions for known file types to be checked off as shown. Next, we need a solution to Vista’s idiot box, which is what you find in the start menu. Don’t use it.

Press the combination Windows key+F (on a standard keyboard, the Windows key is between the Ctrl and Alt keys) to bring up a search window: Open the Advanced Search menu, and also check the box to include non-indexed, hidden, and system files (might be slow). Use Show only: All. Select Local Hard Drives (C:) or Local Disk (C:) from the Location listbox, and enter the name of what you are looking for in the Name Specify name field to the right.

If the file you want is on your computer, this will find it. Sources: Shown .

C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files You have the correct path in your question: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files. To show hidden files and folders is the same in Vista and XP: Tools (press the alt key if you don't see Tools, it should appear) > Folder Options... > View > check the "Show dden Files and Folders" bullet, you might want to uncheck the "de Protected Operating System Files" box too. As long as you are using Internet Explorer, that is where they will be.

If you are using Firefox, they will be in the Mozilla folder, not the Microsoft folder. If you made it all the way to the Windows folder and you still don't see the Temporary Internet Files folder then you don't have "Show hidden files and folders" option selected.

1 Easy way! First open Internet Explorer to s single site: Look at whats there so you can remember a couple items:Now minimise it! Now go to Search: Type in.....temporary files.........when the field comes up....ONE IN THE FIELD IS THE TEMO FILE YOUR LOOKING FOR......open from top down, and see if the items within are those of the web page in Internet Explorer: When you find the RIGHT ONE......Right click....make shortcut on desktop......That should then give you an active link to the proper folder.Blessings........Annlee .

" "How can I access and retrieve files that were saved to my Temporary Internet Files?" "What is "aol.reachability. Com"? This keeps showing up in my temporary internet folder." "I followed newbie4623936 instruction to get to the hidden temporary internet files folder but what do I do next?

What is "aol.reachability. Com"? This keeps showing up in my temporary internet folder.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
