I don't know why but in the Catholic church you start taking communion before you get confirmed. If you are 16 you should have gone through confirmation already I think.
1. You can make your First Holy Communion at any age. 2.
What is it? It's receiving Jesus spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically through the Holy Eucharist, which once was bread and wine that Jesus turns into His own Body and Blood through a miracle we call "transubstantiation." 3. After you receive Holy Communion the first time, you can receive it every day for the rest of your life, as long as you are not in the state of mortal sin.
4. It takes about 6-7 months of free classes (RCIA) to prepare for First Holy Communion, Baptism and Confirmation (you would get them all at the same Mass). 5.
In a nutshell, to receive Holy Communion after you have finished the RCIA class, you would (a) attend Mass, (b) be baptized, (c) be confirmed, (d) get in line with all the other faithful Catholics during Communion and (e) go forward and receive the Holy Eucharist. 6. I'm sorry your mother didn't bother to teach you about Catholicism, but it's never too late to get started.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
