You can get to the Chicago History Museum from the Chicago O'Hare airport by taking what the locals call the “L” train, specifically, the Blue line. The CTA Blue line runs 24 hours a day so no matter what time your flight comes in, it can get you safely downtown or to a near western suburb ending at Forest Park. To get to the Chicago History Museum, you will take the Blue line to the Division stop, then hop on a CTA bus going East.
Once the bus is at Clark Avenue, you will get off, and walk North about 4 ½ blocks (or wait for another bus). If you are able to rent a car, then you could take I-90E from O’Hare until the North Ave. Exit.
You will need to turn Left and go East on North Ave. Until you hit Clark St. Then, you turn Left. There is usually some street parking available about the surrounding blocks but the Museum has official parking available to their visitors.
Here's the Museum's address and phone number: 1601 N. Clark St. Chicago, IL 60614 312.642.4600 Here are some websites to reference for further planning: http://www.chicagohs.org/planavisit/visitorinformation/directions http://transitchicago.com Most of the museums are actually located downtown in the Loop. If you stay on the Blue line, you can get directly downtown and exit the Adams stop.
The Art Museum is about two blocks away, and the Field Museum, Shedd's Aquarium, and the Observatory are only a bus ride away or brisk walk away. The Museum of Science and Industry is a little further south on Lake Shore Drive about 3 miles. You would definitely need a bus or taxi to get there!
They also have parking if you're able to rent a car as well as the other museums. I think that Chicago is a wonderful place to bring a whole family. There's tons of fun things to do.
There's all of the museums, Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, Garfield Conservatory, a thriving independent and professional Theatre and Comedy community (for family friendly laughs, ComedySportz is great), as well as a long bike and walk trail that runs parallel to Lake Shore Drive (both against the waterfront)!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
