How can a positive focus help me if I am a teen with ADHD?

Teens with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) may fall into the trap of asking themselves “Why am I so stupid?” or “Why can’t I just keep my mouth shut?” after they get into trouble. Even when something seems to have gone wrong, you have the power to ask positive questions, such as “What went right?” When you ask yourself this type of question, you will start to notice what helps you do well.

You can take charge of what you think. You can categorize your thoughts as helpful -- thoughts that give you a boost and make you feel better about yourself -- or unhelpful -- thoughts that make you feel worse about yourself. Then you can choose to challenge those unhelpful negative thoughts.

Think of yourself as a gatekeeper who chooses which thoughts can guide your life and which thoughts get shut out.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
