When a fixed focus camera (zi8) is switched to macro mode, how does the lens change focus--since it's fixed focus lens?

My take on the link is the macro is an item purchased separately for the macro purpose. My Nikon 950 had a similar attachment from a separate company.

You do understand that the camera itself has no macro function until the attachment lens is attached. Such devices have been used for years - I had a Kodak in the fifties that had a 'portrait' attachment.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
