You can also improve behavior and advocate for your child by offering her and her teacher examples of other situations in which she showed similar behaviors. You are in effect saying that this positive behavior transcends this one situation, whether it is in school, working on a creative project, or participating in a team commitment. In addition to pointing out as many settings as possible where you have observed this positive behavior, you can comment on how often you have noticed similar behavior.
In short, you want to present a positive representation of your child's behavior for yourself, your child, and your child's teachers, friends, and family, reminding them and yourself that she behaves well many times and in many places.
