As good as the Env2 was there was a ton of issues with the locking mechanism on that device. Yes, there was a two stage workaround that came out for it and I routinely notified people how to do it right here. However, I'm just not sure if the new Env3 has the same issue or if a similar workaround is even out or even necesarry for that matter.

I really don't know yet. I would hope someone who has one would post and let us all know. I know we've got a small handful of members here now who have one.

Hopefully, they can inform us all. If it's the same locking system then firmware probably will be asked for to workaround this issue. However, I would be surprised if LG didn't tweak this with the Env3.Dancingphone.

Just wanted to voice my agreement with Yianaki about "Never turn off Active X controls". The whole issue lies in the fact that the text messaging app is basically an Active X control.

But I wanted to add the reminder that you need to make sure that the "Text Messages" app gets closed then reopened after you make the change, or it will not appear to work. (Use the task manager/celetask to close it)I had the exact same problems with text messages: I could send an MMS, receive an SMS, but not send an SMS.
