How can I loosen my kinky curls?

You can actually use perm solution on your hair to loosen kinky curls. You do not need rods or anything. Basically you just simply comb the solution through your hair.

Since you do not want all the curls gone, you would just comb gently. If you are unsure of this process, you can always go to your stylist and allow her to do this for you. If you do not know what you are doing, you may accidentally straighten the hair more than you would like.As more of a temporary solution, you can use a nice and hot curling iron and take small sections at a time and create large loose curls.

I like Gold N Hot curling irons. They have temperature setting and get very hot. Since you mentioned you have kinky hair, I just assume your hair may be ethnic or atleast difficult to curl.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
