Tough problem. Some copper wire has a coating on it so it looks like aluminum. All I can say is that aluminum wire is usually bigger than copper since it has higher resistance.

Take a knife blade and scrape the wire. If the interior is copper color, the wire is copper.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
