How can I tell the difference between itchy scalp and lice?

I am not too proud to say my kids came home with lice once. They can be very hard to see and I can understand why you are having a hard time deciding whether it is lice or dandruff. Lice are gray or white (or can be black in color), so if you are seeing small white dots, that may be lice.

Look near the nape, lower part of the head. Also check behind or right above the ears. You can even get a magnifying glass out.

The way I was able to tell it was lice is that those white specs were in those areas mostly. I did not see many near the top of the head. Dandruff would be spread out throughout the scalp equally.

Eggs may look like small tiny bubbles, again hard to see. They will be more affixed to the hair strand, where dandruff will come right off. If you are still unable to tell if it is lice, get a small fine tooth comb and comb through the hair.

Examine what is in the comb in a well lighted room.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
