You can't save a batch that didn't harden. It needs to be cooked long enough to change color. Light to medium brown.
The rescipe I use calls for a mixture of soda and margarine to be mixed in at the last before spreading the mixture to harden. Good luck My batch I thought was brown enough and thin enough...turned out I was wrong although it did harden it was just too sticky. I took each broken peice put it on parchement and cooked on high in microwave for 40 seconds.
Turned colour and came out perfect. I also dusted it with the tiniest bit of baking soda before cooking again.
I made peanut brittle. I put the peanuts in to early and they burnt. I want to melt it down, take out burnt peanuts and remake, can I do this?
I'm sorry to hear that your peanut brittle didn't turn out as well as you hoped on the first time around.(edited based on the comments below)Good news! It IS possible to recook homemade peanut brittle once it's already set. Just be careful to reheat slowly and watch it like a hawk so you don't burn it!
:) More comments below (thanks everyone!).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
