Pitch could be thought of spiritually as "sealer to belief" or "protector of faith". At first this might not seem obvious. However, if we consider what purpose pitch performs in the construction of the ark we can get a clearer idea.
When two boards are joined together there is a gap between them. Pitch is what we would think of in modern times as caulk, or sealer. It is a semi-liquid substance that is used to fill in the gaps.
Metaphorically speaking faith is the pitch that keeps belief sealed so that other ideas like "doubt" (water) does not seep in. Water is what was to destroy the world, so in this sense water can be compared to corrupted ideas or doubt. 2 What relationship does it have to those who were in the ark Pitch protects those in the ark from the water - since Noah had never built an ark before, his obedience in using pitch in its construction was an act of faith that led to his safety.
3 what relationship does it have to God without? It is an outward sign of God's knowledge and ability to protect who he chooses even in the face of total destruction.
2 Cor 1:21 - 22 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. I find it interesting that there are so many who are telling you that the pitch is a seal, and then claim that it has no spiritual significance. A seal works two ways.
First, it keeps the stuff on the outside from getting in. Second, it keeps the stuff on the inside from leaking out.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
