How did Mitt Romney go from a Independent, to a Liberal to a Republican?

Politics is the art of the possible. Romney is today in the business of convincing people he can do a better job than Obama. He's made promises but they've all been very vague, no details.

He talks tough about Iran but he can't say what he'll do, because he can't do much. He claims he can fix the recession, but the only ideas he has are what got us into the recession in the first place--MORE deregulation, MORE concentration of wealth, MORE tax cuts for the rich. That's not going to fix anything!

What exactly DO Republicans want? I think Repub. Voters have been conditioned to just want Obama out.

They don't seem even to care if things just go from bad to worse, so long as one of -their- crooks is in the White House. Republican congressional leaders and presidents have shown us for 30 years now that they care about the budget only when they're out of power. Ronald Reagan tripled the entire national debt.

GW Bush only doubled it, but that doesn't count two obscenely expensive and entirely unnecessary wars, which Bush didn't even put on the budget. That's just the kind of thing Romney would do. Of course this is totally a moot point since he won't get elected.

That will be nice indeed! Based on his past (as governor) he seems to mimic what the people around him wants...so in Mass. He was more a left-leaning republican.

At his core though he is a puppet for the ultra rich and corporations. My guess is he will be a moderate republican -- so he'd likely govern very similar to Obama who governs as a republican-lite. My hope is Obama actually shifts to the left if re-elected but based on early signs he is likely to continue to be a right-leaning democrat.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
