Don't believe what you read in tabloids and spurious websites or see on those dumb crypto-history shows on the ironically named "History Channel." There have been thorough investigations of the Sphinx and pyramids -- REAL archaeologists have the tools now to be able to do non-destructive scans of stone structures to determine what is within and under them. If you want the real story of what is known to date about the magnificent remnants of ancient Egypt, you can do a file search on Archaeology magazine's "Archaeology News" section where they have daily updates of the latest discoveries world wide.
In the "search" field on the right below the title bar, just type in "sphinx" or "pyramid Egypt" and you will get links to articles on the most recent findings. http://archaeology.org/news.
