The state should supply you with an attorney, since they have taken custody of your children. It is also your right to see your children, even if your visits are supervised. If you have a child protective services Case Manager, call this person and demand your rights.
Sometimes, you can also demand that the children be placed with a different relative, rather than the ones accusing you. Tell the Case Manager that you want your children staying with relatives other than your ex husband (I assume you have documentation of HIS history) or his parents. CPS may tell you to take parenting classes, get tested for drugs, undergo a psychological screening, etc. DO ALL OF THESE THINGS.
One of the main reasons kids get taken is a parent's failure to comply with services. You may even want to request that they pay for a psychological screening to prove you are not suicidal, but only grieving in a healthy manner. Get online and do as much research as your eyes and brain can handle.
Get to the library and check out the reference section for your State's laws. I'm afraid I live in a different State, so I'm not positive how much your laws differ from mine. Most States, however, have EXTENSIVE procedures for terminating parent's rights.
As long as you show yourself to be doing what CPS wants, they are required to return your children. When you write your response, address each accusation calmly, truthfully, and with documentation. Don't make excuses.
Don't apologize for anything. Don't admit anything. Don't get mad.
Just address the accusations with documentation. It is simple enough to demonstrate the fact that you have a job, own a house, pay your bills, go to school, etc. You have your phone records. Also, assuming you don't actually have any topless photos of yourself, you can volunteer to turn over your laptop for screening (make sure you have it in writing - plus a copy for you - that it will be returned).
If your boyfriend is on your mortgage, prove that he has a job, too. All the best! I hope you win!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
