How do I copy data from one ps3 to another ps3 and both consoles retain the data?

Here's what I would do to troubleshoot: Try disconnecting then reconnecting all the HDMI cables to the switch box. If that doesn't work, turn off / unplug the switch box for about 10 seconds and turn it on / plug it back in. If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure.
