How do I create my own personal websit (like eBay) to sell my personal used items and not charge taxes?

I want to create my own personal website to sell my things. I am currently selling on eBay, but it is too expensive. I would need to allow customers to pay through pay pal.

I will not be charging taxes. Asked by Marjescloset 8 days ago Similar Questions: create personal websit eBay sell items charge taxes Recent Questions About: create personal websit eBay sell items charge taxes Business > Taxes.

You have about a 99,000 times better chance of selling something on eBay than on your own site.

Good reasoning, Ancient_Hacker. I guess the best thing to do is stay with eBay & pay the high charges. I enjoy selling my stuff on eBay, but I don't make a profit to brag about because of the cost % I pay for listing, mailing & pictures....etc. But, it is better than nothing.

Thanks again. Marjescloset 8 days ago .

You're responsible for taxes even if you don't charge them.

Thanks Gabriel. I am not sure what to do. I have used eBay for 2 years now, but they are changing their prices for listing & selling.

I guess what I am trying to do is have a site (like a blog) where I can sell these same items without charging taxes. I don't sell that much & everything is usually priced very low. I thought there must be a way to sell without all the high expenses because I am not making anything through eBay.

Also, I would need to set up a pay pal plan or some way for my customer to purchase the item(s). I thought about Craig’s List, but I did not like the strange customers I got through that site. I may not be explaining myself very well, but I do think you for answering me.

Oh, by the way, I do not charge taxes from my customers on eBay. Marje Marjescloset 8 days ago .

So obviously you haven't thought this through very well yet. Re-think your business model. And while you might not charge taxes for what you sell on Ebay, you still need to charge enough to cover the charges for your income taxes.

Just because you have a website doesn't mean anyone will go to it.

Yes, I have put a lot of thought into it, but I am not savvy to how to go about it...that's why I am asking. But, I do appreciate your feedback. Thank you for responding.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
