How do I cure my orange and lemon trees that don't produce fruit. See pix: http://tinyurl.com/bvjam5?

I just found this out this year...I have a Meyer Lemon tree in my backyard that inexplicably stopped bearing fruit the last few years even though I was diligent about fertilizing it. Then boom, this year it's producing fruit like crazy. I was looking for an avocado tree, and asked the people at the nursery about it.

They said that fruit trees just sometimes go dormant. So don't chop it down or pull it out. You may get fruit yet.

Another reason may be that the tree requires some pruning. If you have a lot of branches that are growing into each other, or the tree is just too dense, then a good pruning will free it up to produce fruit instead of supporting all those extra branches. You can definitely prune incorrectly and do more harm than good.

Also, when you prune is important also. Your best resource is making a friend at your local nursery, since every part of the country is different.

The picture you have provided implies that they are being undernourished and often they do not have enough nitrogen (nitrogen deficiency) or lack of sunlight which means the plants cannot grow to excellent quality. Citrus plants really need "food" as usually they have rich soil in countries like Spain and Portugal. Adding nutrients to the soil may help your plant become what it is there to the plants you want underneath!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
