How do I do quests in World of Warcraft?

Quests in World of Warcraft are picked up at NPC characters with a gold exclamation point above their head. The exclamation point indicates that a quest in your level range is available. When the quest is completed you return to the NPC that you received the quest from.

There will be a gold question mark above their head to indicate that the quest is completed and they are ready to speak to you and reward you for your help. With strategy the best thing to do is to simply follow a quest chain. These chains usually start with one quest.

When that quest is turned into the NPC then another quest and other quests around it will open up. You will see gold exclamation points appear on your minimap to indicate the new quests. The storyline will follow the quest chain and allow to you experience the full chain.
