He wakes up and wants a bottle 1-2 times a night. The pediatrician said to give him cereal before bed. He refuses to eat any of the types of baby cereals we have tried (mixed it with formula, mixed it with food, gave it to him straight).
S twin sister has been sleeping through the night for months nowand doesn't even eat cereal before bed. Asked by pengy 60 months ago Similar questions: 12 month son sleep night Family.

Been there, done that! You might have to just "tough it out" and let him cry to get over it. We had to do this with our daughter who didn't think she could fall back asleep without nursing. It's hard, as I hated to hear her cry, but it only took a few nights and it worked.
Our dr. explained that babies get into habits, like having to have a bottle to fall asleep, and it's hard to break it. So, sometimes you just have to be tough and let them cry for awhile, as long as you know everything is really ok and the baby is safe and comfortable. Sources: personal experience .
Kids are different. Mine started sleeping through the night at different ages. I don't think it matters about the twin thing - kids are different.
When our daughter, the one who wanted to stay up all night (still does, at 19), my Mother gave me a piece of sage advice. "let her cry". So we did.It seemed harsh and my wife and I spent the first couple of nights crying ourselves.
But the next day, she ate during the day and slept longer. It wasn't long before she was sleeping through the night. My Mom's a genius. That and 8 kids, I guess.
Anyway, that's what I would try. Sources: My answer .
Lavender bath Nice bath with lavender , full massage, rock, cuddle, bed, ignore. Looks like you already tried my old trick..make an 'x' cut in one bottle nipple, add some rice cereal to the milk/formula and give at last evening feeding.
1 We had the exact problem with our 1st. Our pediatrition simply told us "she has you trained! " They don't need feedings during the night at that age. It's difficult, but you and your husband simply have to "tough it out"...which means you let him cry.
It took about a week with our daughter. Instead of actually feeding them the cereal, add to the formula in the bottle...with an X in the nipple so the thicker mixture will come out. You feed the baby this mixture IN THE BOTTLE as the last feeding.
That fills their little tummies and it lasts much longer in the system. You have to have THEM adjust to YOUR lives. Under no circumstances do you relent and go in to "shut him up" with any attention.
You have to have him unlearn this habit. It works .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
