How do I get my Dell laptop with an internal network card to connect to a wireless network?

This answer is from someone using a Dell Latitude D505 running Windowss XP. The procedure shouldn't have changed in Windows Vista or Windows 7 but I cannot guarantee that it hasn't. To enable wireless internet, go to the Start Menu and click on "Connect To."

This will bring up a menu asking to connect to a local area network, Ethernet, or WiFi. Click WiFi and the computer will look for routers in your area. Once it finds a network near you, it'll ask whether you want to connect.

If you want to, click on the bubble that pops up and you'll go to the "wireless network connection" menu. There, you'll see all the networks you have available and be able to connect. Double-click on the network you'd like and the computer will ask again if you want to connect.

Agree and the computer will connect you. To disconnect, click the wireless icon and it'll bring up a status window. There, you'll see the option to disable.

Once your computer has connected, it'll autoconnect when it sees the same network again.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
