Your green card expired 14 years ago. If you are out of the country for more than one year, it becomes void. So, it is not going to be of any help, at all.
I have been living in UK for the past 15 or more years but I had a Green Card before. It is the old type issued between '79 and '88. No expiry date on it.
I worked and lived in USA for 2 yrs on this way back then. Since then, I cannot find my SSN number. If I go to USA (I have gone many times on vacations since) can I just walk into a local office and present my Green Card as Id and request my SSN again?
I remember SOME of the digits but not all.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
