How do I get rid of the $0.50 in my Mahalo balance? After I started Mahalo moved to a $1 minimum and now t here is $0.50 I can't get rid of?

You can only give and receive tips in whole dollar amounts, so that won't help you. The only way I can see to get rid of it is to cash out, in which case you can withdraw your entire balance. This doesn't help you much right now since you have to accumulate 40 Mahalo dollars in order to cash out.

But eventually if you keep answering questions you will be able to get rid of it. I suppose you could always ask one of the Mahalo employees to remove it, but I can't say for sure they would. It doesn't really change anything, but I guess it could be annoying.

I am in the same boat, but it hasn't bothered me.

You could search the archives for unanswered $.25 questions, if they are still around. Get the best answer twice with quality answers and you can get rid of your spare change.

I have them on everything! Not just the normal figurines, but on pillows, stationery, notecards, greeting cards, gift wrap, candles, books, bells, bookmarks, etc. etc. My departed sister-in-law loved to crochet, so she'd take a regular doll, make a dress for it, and then finish it off with wings and a halo! I have carried that love to further heights by (1) writing an angel column for a national pen pal magazine for quite a few years, (2) being a member of the Angel Collectors Club of America and Angels of the World (where I am the round robin sponsor), (3) having a cancer patient through Chemo Angels (a national organization) where I send a card (usually with a tuck-in of some kind)every week, etc. I do believe in guardian angels, and when I lost my mother at age 90, I felt like she immediately became my personal guardian angel.

It seems that she has been there through many serious family crises, and it is a comforting thought. Angels are my passion! I have them on everything!

I collect art including paintings, prints and statues. I also have one very old and potentially valuable book, though I don't see myself buying any more of them for a while.

I respect old books, but I'm not really a classic book guy. I'd much rather read a modern business book for the information inside rather than own one because if its history. My wardrobe is also getting larger and larger, but I don't know if you can call that collecting.

Some of the art is on Facebook, so you can see it if you're my friend. I haven't taken the time to photograph the latest stuff yet though. I don't know if some people decide to start out collecting things from the very beginning.

It didn't start out as a collection -- just a way of getting music -- but as online music distribution became more and more prevalent, the act of buying CDs became something that needed a purpose, more every day.

So I called it a collection! An expensive one, but aren't most? I'm not ALL that finicky about my collections -- I don't keep the jewel cases, and they aren't particularly well stored, I can imagine -- but I am finicky about its depth.

If something exists, I'd like to have it eventually, both to hear the songs and to possess the item. Maybe some day. I collect CDs.

I collect mini coffee mugs from places I visit.

Currently, I don't have any place to display them, so they're in a box, but I have about 50 of them so far. If I can't find a mini mug, I'll get a shot glass, but I prefer the little mugs. I actually can't remember how this started, but it's my "thing" now, when I travel.

I also have quite a few books, but I wouldn't say I collect them. I just never get rid of books after I have acquired them, because I always feel like I'm going to want them later. I collect mini coffee mugs from places I visit.

I have a small collection of fountain pens. Sadly though, I don't write by hand all that much so they do tend to sit around alot.

However, I like them anyway. The fact that I don't really use them as much is why the collection is still small. I also collect a variety of bird related stuff.

I have some crystal pieces, statues, and pictures. That's really my biggest collection of stuff but it isn't just one type of thing. I don't collect all bird related stuff, just specific kinds of pieces.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
