You have to chose the 'Format' option in the cameras menu. Click on the menu settings button and scroll through until you see 'Format' or 'Format Memory Card. ' This will erase all data on the memory card and reset it back to it's original state.

If you have problems doing this you can plug the camera into your computer or put the memory card into a card reader attached to your computer and perform the following actions: 1. Go to My Computer. 2.

Click on the removable storage drive that is your memory card. 3. Right-click on the icon for the memory card and scroll down to URL1 may take a minute or so to complete but then your memory card will be erased and reset.

Hope that helps!.

Never heard that term before. I don’t believe digital media can be reset. Or I am not sure what you mean by reset.

If your camera is not recognizing your card, you may need to reformat it. This will wipe all your data from the card and prepare it for use with the camera. You can consult your manual or try to figure out where in the menu options you can "Format" the card.

Typical there is some type of setup area. If you have a card reader, windows will recognize the card as a removable drive. In this case you can right click the drive and select "Format."

The only other thing I can think of that you may mean is reseat. To reseat something just means to unplug or remove it, then plug it back in. You’ll hear the term used for memory or cabling typically in computers.

I really hope this answers your question. If it does not, let us know what the problem is, such as, is the camera not recognizing the memory card or whatever else it may be doing. Good luck!

To erase the pictures you can either use your card reader and erase the pictures after you have sent them to your computer- or you can erase the pictures/files off of the card using your camera also. There is probably a delete button on your camera- you can manually delete each file that way or you can erase all of the files- to erase them all you will probably need to use the menu and find 'delete all'. Or by reset do you mean 'reformat' your card?

.

You will need to use the on-screen menus to clear the card. Removing the card from the camera won't reset the card. You need to use the on-screen menus to delete all photos or clear the card.

Almost every digital camera has these options, sometimes worded slightly differently.

1 I don't want to take away an answer slot from someone that might have a more in depth answer, but if you had the card in a memory stick reader to transfer pictures in your computer and you didn't eject properly the card won't work. If this is the case, put the card back in the card reader, open My Computer, right click the card reader drive and click eject. Put the card back into the camera and see if that works.
