You Need a Bluetooth Adapter The trick is you need a bluetooth adapter to create an air interface between your land-line phone and a bluetooth headset. There a a couple of ways you can go. One is to get a product like a GNI Netcom headset that sits in-line with your wired handset.
Another is to get a bluetooth interface adapter that connects to the hands-free jack on some phones. I’ve picked out a couple of products here from Amazon that you can use as a starting point. Note that even if you pick something that comes with a bluetooth headset, chances are you're not stuck with it.
Since bluetooth is a standard, you should be able to use any bluetooth headset with any bluetooth device. Different approaches: wireless for existing phone, wireless phone/headset combo, or new Bluetooth phone Wireless for existing phone can work in cases where the phone has a corded handset to the base. You plug a wireless adapter instead of the handset cord, and lift and replace the handset to pickup/drop calls. This is also how many pro/biz phone adapters work, albeit with a dedicated headset jack.
New phone/headset that is wireless is very easy to come by. AT&T, IBM, and many more make semi-wireless -- that is, a base station plugs into the phone line, but the 'dial pad' talks back to the base wirelessly, clips to your belt, and has a wired/nicer headset running to your head. Alternative is certain companies making wireless headsets (Bluetooth or otherwise, no cable from headset, though might be over-the-head with a boom mic in some models) that talk back to a base directly, the base has the keypad.
Lastly, my favorite, is something like the Uniden ELBT595 -- a 5.8Ghz expandable phone system, with starting pieces being the base station plus one handset. BOTH the base and the handset support Bluetooth headsets -- the base also supports acting as the 'headset' for a bluetooth cell phone, so that the Uniden handset can be used to answer or dial via your cell phone. Very cool technology, I've had it for a long while now, love using BT headset vs alternate approaches.
I'll admit the ELBT595 has minor glitches, and is expensive, but overall for the level of tech, I've been impressed. Best of all, you can buy add-on handsets in either the new Bluetooth flip models or the non-BT old-style handsets, both compatible with the base station. So I have a BT-flip unit in my office that connects back to the base station, and use my headset with this handset.
Mind boggling! ;) For the first two, I usually would start with looking at com -- specialty retailer in the phone biz. But searching for 'wireless phone' or 'wireless headset' in any shopping/pricing site should get you some items too.
For the latter, Amazon carries it, but I'd check the current price, then check the price-comparison sites for other competition. ;) Sources: uniden. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
