My mother made our wedding cake with buttercream icing, with fondant totally overlaying the cake. We stored it be wrapping it with saran wrap VERY well,and place it in a safe place at room temperature. Do not put it in the refrigerator.
Buttercream icing can safely be kept at room temperature for 2-3 days. Fondant should not be refrigerated. Wait until tomorrow, as late as possible to decorate it to lessen the chance of bleeding.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
