Rabbi Ehrlichmann, Actually before the civil war started Lebanese Christians made 50% of the population, it's just that they were being persecuted by Muslims so much (Damour Massacer and Palestinian Roadblocks, etc.) that they had no choice but to ally with the Zionists, it depended on their survival. Now they make up 35-40% of the pop. Palestinian Muslims began to kill Lebanese Christians before they ever even made negotiations woth Israel.
Damour Massacer: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damour_ma... ———— Okay. :).
Hi Lebanon is not split between Muslim and Christians, its split between Sunni Muslim Like former prime minister Rafic Hariri and Shiites Muslims like Hassan Nasrallah head of Hezbollah. Hezbollah army is funded by Iran and Israel problem is mostly with them. Beside of that you have in Lebanon Alawites that support Bashr Al Assad, Druze & Cherkess that support where ever the wind blow, Christians (Maronite, Greek, Orthodox & Catholic) that are busy now in running away from Lebanon and least but not last Haifa Wehbe that we all support.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
