Well, very generally speaking, people on the east coast are impressed if you went to Harvard, while people on the west coast are impressed if you made it through EST training without peeing your pants.
People in Manhattan think civilization stops at the Hudson. Those in California are glad that it does.
I have found that on average, there tends to be a perception on the west coast; that views people on the east coast as feeling like they are the center of American culture - and are somewhat disconnected from what is actually going on west of the appalachians. - sort of a prejudice that all of America should be living as the east coast does.
Some have different accents. "I don't have an accent, theah must be something wrong with youh eahs" (an old Mainer I once worked with) .
Answer from Ancient_Hacker 1 people found this helpful well, very generally speaking, people on the east coast are impressed if you went to Harvard, while people on the west coast are impressed if you made it through EST training without peeing your pants. As I was saying... ;D .
Well, let's see. On the East Coast, namely, New York, we have the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Moma, Fifth Avenue, Broadway, Times Square, publishing, the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Harvard, Columbia, FIT. People at parties talk about current events, film, real estate, politics and travel.
The top corporations have a headquarters here, including ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox. The West Coast worries about movie stars, who sleeps with whom, the price of real estate, plastic surgery and whether the surf is up. I'm putting my bullet proof vest on now.
Oh, and the most important of all (at least from their viewpoint), Wall Street.
In Canada they speak more French on the eastern side (Quebec) and western farmers are generally overlooked in politics. In history at one point our West was going to unite with USA but they hurriedly pushed the railway tracks westward to unite all of Canada. What has the subject of "Animals" to do with this question?
It's a puzzlement. ;-) .
They don't, as many of the people out here on the "West Coast" came from the East Coast. Likewise, some of our folks (Californians escaping the smog, mostly) are now on the East Coast. Humans are the same everywhere, so the only "difference" would be beliefs, and even that is highly generalized.
" "My family and I are moving to the east coast. Where should we go? Why?
Please" "Will all of you out there who are not on the East Coast please keep all of us who are in your prayers?" "Is FIDM a good fashion school to go to on the West Coast? " "Ephesus is near what south west coast? " "How long did it take a message sent my morse code to get from the East Coast to the West Coast?" "Looking for a song name.
Some of the lyrics are: East Coast, West Coast, it don't matter. Used on Discovery Channel" "How far East can you go before you are heading West?" "What are some of the best schools on the East Coast for psychology and/or journalism?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
