How long did it take a message sent my morse code to get from the East Coast to the West Coast?

Similar questions: long message morse code East Coast West.

You can also use morse code with ham radio, in which case it travels at the speed of light. For the original transcontinental telegraph, it could take anywhere from seconds to days. They didn't originally have automatic repeaters, and it would have to be re-keyed every few hundred miles (or less).

A high priority message would be re-keyed instantly. At other times, your message could take a while. As the system got more sophisticated, more messages went through faster.

Awesome! My son is doing a report on the transcontinental telegraph and we couldn't find that answer anywhere. Thank you!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
