The important decision I had made was when my boss was out of country that I have to decide if I have to accept the product sampling that was offered at our store "CVC SUPERMARKET & SM HYPERMARKET" so... I have to do something's like taste test and some opinion checking and it really help me a lot. Sometimes we have to be wise and always check & know the advantages & disadvantages of our decision. Decisions making is not easy especially when you have to do it by yourself without the help or opinion of others.
But I think to be able to do this is to think 10 times and ask 6 persons opinion and compare it to your own decision to be able to come up with the good result. The best thing I have ever done in a boss' absence was to document sales documents and proposals that came through in her absence. When she returned, all of the information she needed was on hand and she could return and be up to date.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
