I found that spanking didn't work that well with my daughters. I think they were too smart and realized that spanking was brief, while disobedience could go on a long time. I began putting the child on a time-out .
. . Next to me.
Ya see, the problem with many uses of "time-out" is that the child is merely sent to the room, where the child is unsupervised and so does whatever she or he wants, only in the room. The child doesn't notice a loss, so doesn't think it was a punishment. I had my daughter sit on the floor--sit, not lie, not stand, not move, but sit and only sit.
And stay there as long as I felt the child had to stay there (hours, if need be, as I have stubborn daughters.) Obviously, the longer the child takes to figure out compliance, the longer the child is there being monitored by mom or dad. And mom and dad have nothing better to do with their time than monitor this time-out to ensure the child grows up mature, not disobedient. Danielpauldavis 57 months ago.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
