Unlike most decorative classroom schemes, multicultural decoration is strongly tied to a philosophy of teaching and a way of viewing the world. For it to be effective and not just decoration on the wall, it must be tied directly to class activities. The literature your students read, the art and music they are exposed to and the events they learn about should reflect a wide range of different races, cultures and ethnicities.
Then the decorations on the wall need only reflect what the class is doing. Put up multicultural posters. Show kids of different races, cultures and ethnic backgrounds playing together and doing school activities.
Read multicultural books and put up posters for them. The link below has a small book list to get you started. Have your students draw pictures of the characters and events in the books you read.
Their pictures will reflect the diversity of the characters in the books. Have outside speakers come in to lead students in traditional arts and crafts from ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
