Very nicely explained. Thanks for answering this question!
If you think that you may have the disorder then you can google OCD and explore the many sites out there that list all the symptoms and check whether you may have it. If the symptoms match what you are experiencing then see a Doctoe asap- they can refer you to a Psychologist who can then diagnose you, and treat it.
I have written a Hub on OCD , if you are interested in learning more about it then check it out.
OCD is when you obsess over something. When someone begins to obsess or become neurotic over something for a long period of time this can produce a lot of anxiety.
You need to be on the look out for physical behaviors that are done for the purpose of easing the anxiety produced by the obsessions. For example, If you have OCD you may have the recurring thought of disaster befalling a loved one. You may feel that you can protect your loved one by touching your closet door four times every time this thought comes up.
This behavior is a compulsion and is a classic symptom of OCD.
You also need to look at the length of time you spend on thes compulsions every day. If you spend and hour or more of your time performing these compulsions on any given day, this is a strong indicator of OCD.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
