How do you feel about our government making spanking our children illegal?

I believe the expression is Spare the rod, spoil the child.

Once again, people are going overboard with rules and regulations. "Ilegal" is a bit strong for this. I think "beatings" should be illegal.

I am not a believer in "beatings" but I do feel that the occasional spanking lets children know the boundaries.

In fact, the expression in our house has always been....I will communicate with the top end until it stops listening. Then, I will communicate with the bottom.

I taught my son (seen in this pic with me) instead of spanking him. He's 34 now and is my favorite person on the planet. Violence breeds violence.

They won't out law it. Children often threaten there parents that they will call the police on them when they are punished with spanking. However the police are always more than willing to let the child know that parents are able to discipline there children as long as it doesn't put there life in danger.

And are more than willing to remind the children that everything they have is a blessing, because if they are put into a foster home they will not receive the same luxuries that the children take advantage of now.

There is nothing wrong with spanking your children ... you do beat black and blue they may think they aaraea l o l but they will know the boundaries.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
