A new small business needs a lot of business and marketing know-how to succeed. You can start with a marketing survey- look in the yellow pages for how many (legit) massage shops there are within a mile. Probably a lot.

Find some way to differentiate your shop, some market niche that is not being served-- maybe there are no shops specializing in young or old or skinny or fat or disabled or amputees or vegans? As to finding investors, good luck. Massage is a luxury and in this tight economy people tend to give up luxuries first.
