How do You Get Rid of Head Lice?

The best way to get rid of head lice is to use over the counter shampoos and to wash all sheets and clothes. You should also throw away all combs and brushes.

Writes: "My daughters were always infested with lice & nits. - Palo Amargo - Quassia Amer), and sprayed it on their heads. Lice & nits were gone or died.

Wood chips (from the bark) and let stand until cool. Spray on head every day. Writes: "Use creamy peanut butter.

Put peanut butter on the hair and comb back out with the small lice comb. This will take all the eggs out. I used the over the counter remedy first.

After doing some research, I found the steps used to treat lice from the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Apply lice medicine (apply a second time for people with long hair). Read instructions on the medication to see how long the medicine should be left on the hair before rinsing.

Make sure all clothing is removed, washed and clean clothing is put on after treatment. Use head lice combs or flea combs made for dogs and cats to comb lice from the shaft of the hair. Comb every two to three days for two or three weeks to make sure all the lice are gone.

Retreat after 9 or 10 days if using cheaper non-prescription medications to kill any hatched lice that have survived the first treatment. Make sure all clothing, linens and combs are washed in hot water (130 degrees or higher). Also vacuum the floor and furniture that the infested person was in contact with.

Wash, wash, wash! Hair, Clothes, bedding, everything. Hand pick!

Have fun!

My mom has four daughters and all four of us had gotten headlice a few times she used lotion! Drenched our head with lotion and put a bag on top to cover and seal them in and cleaned and washed everything had it on and then when we washed it out they were dead it worked everytime! And our hair felt great:).

Head lice often are a childhood thing but it doesn't mean that adults can't have it anymore. When I was a kid, my mother would really not allow me to play with neighbor kids because she's too afraid I could get lice. She believed that it could make the child dull.

Well I can agree to it because once your head gets infested with lice then it's really disturbing making you uneasy and find it difficult to concentrate on your lessons because most often, you'll be focusing on scratching your head which is a big turn-off if your crush sees you, lol. Currently, my little daughter got few young lice and eggs (nits). I noticed it right away because she keeps on scratching her head so what I do is handpick the eggs and the visible young lice, actually they have not grown matured yet and they’re few also.

Then I would review it with the use of very fine-toothed or nit comb. I will do it everyday until I don’t see her scratching her head anymore. I also feel that I am also having lice because I and my little daughter sleep together in one bed.

But I’m using nit comb everytime so I think that can help, too. Another way also to get rid of those head lice is everytime you take a bath, use a wet cloth then as you shampoo use it to scratch your head. Lice will stick to it and you should kill them because once your head gets infested with lice then it would smell fishy no matter how you shampoo and wash it.

If they're clean you can always take more out if you need them but put them where the child can't get in to them. Another natural product that has been found to be effective in the reduction of the spread of head lice is the use of fresh rosemary. Many effective shampoos and sprays work because lice are repelled by the smell of rosemary.

A small number (2-3) sticks of fresh rosemary should be placed inside the pillowcase of each member of the household. They can be placed underneath the pillow so that they do not affect or interfere with the person trying to sleep and cannot be felt by the person. If they are left for over one week, the lice leave the hair and no further eggs are laid in the hair.

Because lice can travel from one item of clothing to another, it can be helpful to quarantine clothes that have been worn, however briefly, from those that are clean. Remember if you have children to bag up all stuffed animals for 3 weeks to kill any lice. Items that can't go through a dryer can be placed in black plastic bags and left in the sun for a day or so.

Even if it's not that hot outside, the interior of the bag will heat up and kill the lice. Use any essential oil in your hair to kill lice. Sleep with it in your hair.

Wash hair until all olive oil or any other oil is out.

To remove lice and nits by hand, use a fine-tooth comb on your child's wet, conditioned hair every 3 to 4 days for 2 weeks.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
