At any holiday, including Valentine's Day, you will likely have an abundance of candy. Unless you wish to keep your local dentist in business and plan a rigorous workout, you will probably want an alternative use for all that candy. Why not incorporate it into your decorations?

We already do that every year, with our holiday gingerbread houses. This Valentine's Day, grab some of that leftover candy and create a colorful wreath. Your house, your teeth and your waistline will thank you.

Gather hard Valentine's candy. Depending on the size of your wreath, you will want anywhere from a couple dozen to 100. Use your scissors to cut an 8-inch strip of ribbon.

Set aside to use later. Glue one end of the rest of the ribbon on the back of the wreath. Wind the ribbon around the wreath from the back to the front; continue to wrap it around and around until the wreath is covered in ribbon.
