How do you potty train a child to go poop?

I finally potty trained Owen to go pee. That was the easy part. I had to bribe him in fruit snacks, but I got it done.

He is not ready then Some boys potty train pee first, some poop first. He might not know when he has to go, until he goes. Don't force it, if you do you will have problens with it and other issues from it later in life.

Just work with him, and tell him you don't like stinky diapers. Don't use the big boys don't wear diapers line as that will also come back to hurt you and him a lot iof he happens to be a bedwetter! Esp since diapers work a lot better than the bedwetter pullups do!

Just ask my 5 boys. You can ask him if he has to go poopy yet, and keep doing that every 10-15 minutes. Over time he will get tired of you nagging him and when he can feel it he will tell you.

Also make a big deal when he does it on the potty, and ignore accidnets, as they happen and are not a big deal, its normal! You can try bribes, liek if you poop in the potty 3 days in a row, then he gets to rent a dvd he wants to see, and build it up from there. The 1st time could be ice cream treat or something he likes.

It takes a little more time The experience with my kids was that it took a little more time, they asked to put on the diapers for pooping while for peeing potty was fine. One day simply asked to go potty for poop and from there on no more diapers. They feel more insecure to do poop in the potty, but you can tell him to try at least, not forcing him, little by little he will think about trying..

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
