I know, there is so much to do on hubpages and I have the same problem. But it is nice. I am new too and am finding the experience so exciting.
Been writing for years but this is the first time I have been with a community of writers and getting feedbak. Love it. To answer your question it depends why you joined really.
If you just wanted to earn money then concentrate on writing hubs and getting them seen by as many people as possible to get your rankings up. If you like chatting to other writers then spend more time on that. I love to read other hubs because I like to see what others are writing but also I love reading.
For me it's like being a child in a sweet shop. I would advice you to give yourself a limit of how many hubs you gonna read in one day because really you need time to work on your own hubs too. Good luck and ENJOY.
I believe everyone's priority should be writing good qualiy hubs...the rest comes spontaneously! I tend to do a little bit of everything here, but sometimes I am unsatisfied with myself because I don't write more!
Hubpages is a social website because of the interactive nature of the comments. After reading email accounts daily, log into Huppages. Click on the account and check for broken links, malicious links, or copying.
Click on the comments and respond promptly. Because of having to scroll down to read the comments, take that time to edit the hubpage article for errors and optimize using a picture of any other update that will add to the readership. Because Hubpage is an income producing entity, the earnings are checked by clicking on the affiliates setting twice a day: Once at 12:00 pm and another at 9:00 pm.
During those interim times the daily goal is to produce ten hubpages daily with original content using Google Alerts, Google Trends, Twittur(ly) to get ideas on what to write about. Daily experiences are also great idea gathers such as vacations, movie going, book reading or family events. This Hubpage procedure is done Monday through Thursday.
Friday through Sunday is optimizing time of all Hubpage that has less than 100 cumulative visitors using the free Google Adwords tool. Friday through Sunday are the days when less time is spent on the computer and family time and other interests are done just as a regular week end from the livelihood of writing. This is a regiment of a hubpage writer who has been writing for Hubpages for over 16 months with over 1200 hubpage articles.
Each hubpage writer has to get a writing routine that works for them if they love to write as one of the commenters wrote or like to keep a monthly check in the mail because of quality and relevant online writing.
I prioritize my work here on HubPages by answering ONLY hi quality questions, & bypassing those that r a waste of time.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
