When it comes time to buy a new set of bindings, almost any snowboard shop will mount them free of charge. However, you can easily do it yourself. Positioning of snowboard bindings is an important part of having adequate board control for your riding style.
With a little knowledge and a few tools, anyone can put bindings on a snowboard. Know your boarding style. Do you ride regular (left foot forward) or goofy (right foot forward)?
Your snowboard stance will determine which direction your snowboard bindings will need to face. Place your snowboard bindings over the center holes in the front and rear of the board. If you snowboard regular, the left binding will be placed toward the nose and the right binding will be placed toward the tail.
Goofy riders should place the right binding in front and the left binding in the rear. Set the stance angles of each binding. The traditional beginner's stance is a zero-degree angle on the rear foot and a 15- to 20-degree angle on the front foot.
