No matter how careful you try to be, ink accidents happen with clothing. Ironically, ink rarely manages to make it on the 10-year-old T-shirt you wear to change the oil in the car--but if you're wearing your favorite cotton blouse, leaky ink pens seem to lurk in every corner. Before you relegate the blouse to your oil-changing clothes pile, try removing the ink stain from the blouse using a couple of home remedies.
Soak a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol and saturate the ink spots. Allow the blouse to sit for 10 minutes. Wash the blouse in a washing machine with regular laundry detergent using the hottest water allowable for the fabric.
Add one cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. Inspect the blouse before drying to ensure you've removed the ink spots. If the ink is still visible, you can repeat the rubbing alcohol treatment or try treating the stain with white vinegar.
