How do you remove the fuel lines from the fuel filter on a 2001 Mustang?
There is a tool that you buy that fits around the tubing that you push back towards the fuel line and then it releases. This is the same way most ford vehicles are designed.
I then moved on to removing the fuel line from the inlet side of the filter. Everything that was said earlier applies here, too. Here's the old filter, disconnected and ready to come out.
Here is a view of the locking device within the fuel lines. Press the fuel lines on to the new filter. Clips and you're done.
It's that easy.
