How do you replace the rear main engine seal on a 1999 Saturn SC2 dohc?

Answer this is a huge job. You can go about it 2 ways, one way is to pull the motor out, the other way, is to drop the subframe and pull the transmission out. Either way, its a huge job.

This is something that would take a trained professional who knows every nut and bolt on the car, a good 8-10 hours to complete. If your willing to do the job yourself, the seal is located on the end of the crankshaft behind the flywheel/flexplate. You will need to remove the flywheel in order to get to the seal.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
