How do you reset ink levels on an HP Officejet J6480 printer?

I have been searching for about a half hour and have only come up with one thing. HERE, on the second page. It has a bit on Ink Levels.

T says that the printer will still work even with the low level indicator. But in order to avoid this, you should re-fill your ink cartridge at 1/6th full. So I guess you would have to buy a new cartridge and then start filling it up every-time it gets close to 1/6th left.

All I could find for now, I know it's not quite what you are looking for, but I am going to keep searching. Hope this helps.

This is actually a marketing strategy for Hewlett-Packard. To explain this in the most simple of ways, each cartridge has a serial number that is read and stored by your Hewlett-Packard printer. The printer stores up to two serial numbers at any given time.

This is where the marketing strategy comes in the play. The HP 74 ink cartridge can actually hold up to an unbelievable amount of 18 mL of ink; the 74 XL has a possibility of 21 mL of ink! Given the alternative of having your ink cartridges refilled, Hewlett-Packard has responded by putting a timer on the ink level monitors.

After a certain amount of time has passed when utilizing the same cartridge serial, the printer will cease to print using that cartridge. The only "work around" for this issue is to have three ink cartridges on hand to cycle through serial numbers. Once two more serial numbers have been introduced to the printer the third one is "forgotten".

Therefore, when you reinsert the ink cartridge the printer will read it as brand-new. I know it's probably not the answer that anyone wants to hear, but it is the process. More information can be found at: freedomtoprint.com/2010/07/26/review-ins....

Hp uses a chip to prevent it form being recognized even when refilled. There are however some software resetters to overcome this t060120.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
