How do you think iPad Christmas shoppers will feel if the iPad 2 is released in February?

If the second generation of Apple’s iPad were to come out in February of 2011, it would probably cause some issues with people who bought the device for the Christmas holiday, but they probably wouldn’t do much about it. Apple refreshes almost all of their most popular products on an annual basis and the first generation iPad launched in April 2010, so a February refresh isn’t out of the question. I highly doubt that Apple would respond as they did in 2007 when they offered a refund to customers after lowering the price on their iPhone after only having it in the market for 10 weeks.

Realistically, I think that Apple will launch the iPad 2 in April to fall almost exactly with their yearly refresh timeline. The latest rumors seem to point to this as well. This will also keep the complaints from the holiday crowd down and fit their annual refresh timeline.

I believe most people won't be to disappointed in the ipad 2nd generation being better because what I have learned is when a newer generation comes out it is always allot more expensive then the generation before it with all apple products. Considering all the new hardware that has been rumored for the ipad 2. It could very easily top over $1,000 to start off.So the people that buy the 1st Gen prob won't be to disappointed in spending half the money for buying one without a camera and a faster processor.
