Asperger's syndrome falls under the umbrella term 'Autistic Spectrum Disorder' or Autistic tendencies. There are no real defining elements although some people with Asperger's syndrome can be overly self-conscious and afraid to be around people out of fear of getting into fights and arguments that they can't handle. These websites are quite useful:asperger-advice.com/asperger-syndrome-bh... are many other sites.
I also have hubs relating to autistic spectrum disorder.
If you mean the sufferers themselves, it depends on the severity of the condition. Aspergers is considered to be 'high-functioning' autism, a lot of them can live independent lives with only the socially imapiring side of the condition to contend with. Many of them can live semi-independent lives, but many also do have to have round the clock care.
The thing about Aspergers and Autism which most people don't understand is that it isn't just an impairment to their social understanding and it isn't just learning difficulties which a lot of them have besides this, it is that they really do think in a totally different way to most of us - they have a completely different perspective and mindset as you will discover if you ever speak to an autisitc person.
Might want to elaborate. For the record, I may have the diagnosis, but I don't "suffer" from anything.
Also, A person living with Aspergers can have very particular and intense interests/expertise in a particular 'area'. Many a computer genius has been cited as being on the Spectrum (Aspergers). There social aspects of their lives which can cause anxiety and a possible obsession with an area of interest (career choice, for example) can be the main topic of conversation for some.
Social etiquette can be challenging for many and understanding metaphors can be a challenge for some too. There are other aspects of Aspergers which can have a positive and negative impact on the contentment of one living with Aspergers, but I don't want to go on and on and on................................... ;)Cheers, Louise ;).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
